Stayed here for the second time in a year last week. Not sure why I didn't review it last time, but am able to now comment on consistency.
Comfy bed, quiet, clean, centrally located, walking distance to grocery stores and restaurants.
Consistently very good, and the hosts are amazingly kind gracious and helpful. Highly recommended.
The staff are exceptionally friendly and accommodating, the rooms are immaculate. I enjoy the friendly welcome whenever I return to Palmerston North. The bathrooms are modern. I like the 50+ channels on Sky TV. I highly recommend this as a very quiet place to stay.
Had a great stay. Friendly service, great location and a fabulous room shared by 7 friends in town for the night. The room was quiet and clean and beds were comfy. Plenty of fresh towels for all. The black make-up face clothes are a great idea.

Shadz Motel is undoubtly one of the top motels to stay with. Very helpful and courteous hosts, and within very easy walking distance of the city and a good choice of different restaurants very close by. The rooms are very well serviced, above average in size, and members of the host chain. I stay there on many different occasions throughout the year, and continue to do so.The conference room is a great facility.
Clean, Tidy and warm
Booked via Booking.com and got a great special, but then had to change the date. Owners kindly changed without penalty.
On arrival was met by staff who were very helpful and provided great service.
Room was clean and neat and while a cool day the room wasn't too cold. Heat pump took care of that very quickly. Good amenities in room and free wifi. Comfortable bed and the room was nice and quiet
